It was Tour De Fat weekend this weekend in Boise Idaho. For those of you not familiar with the Tour it’s a ballyhoo of beer, bikes, and fun that goes a little something like this: New Belgium Brewing (think “Fat Tire” beer) sponsors a festival of bicycles every year in 11 different cities around the Nation. New Belgium provides entertainment and beer. It’s free to get in and the proceeds from beer sales go to help out local cycling related organizations.
If you’ve followed my photography for any amount of time you will already be familiar with my love of the two wheeled wonders known as bicycles, performance art, music, and beer. For me it really doesn’t get any better than the Tour. It’s an opportunity to celebrate all things good in this world.
Here are a few highlights from this years Tour -
The Dovekins were the first musical act. These guys carry great energy and can pick and grin with the best of them.

The decor, costumes, and atmosphere is really something. The time, thought, and work that has gone into making the Tour a magical and wonderful place is really a site to behold. The level of detail is spectacular.

You may recognize the following vaudevillian performers from my website. The “Handsome Little Devils” returned to Boise to put on another wonderful performance complete with juggling chain saws.

Hiya Johnny! It was great seeing you at the Tour de Fat. Thanks for taking such beautiful pictures. Hi to your wife, as well!
Kisses and Candy,
Lolo
