Rothko Trio – Promotional Photos

§ February 25th, 2010 § Filed under Music, Rothko Trio § Tagged , § No Comments

I had the pleasure of spending Sunday afternoon with the very talented musicians who make up the Rothko Trio.  Brian, Betsi, and Jo were fantastic to work with.  We froze on top of Table Rock and melted under the hot lights in the Morrison Center, but it was all worth it as we made some really great photos.

Brian, Betsi, and Jo, thank you so much for your great energy and enthusiasm.  I want you guys to know what a  great time I had.  Here’s a preview of your session…

Fine Art Photos – Made Easy

§ February 18th, 2010 § Filed under Art, Canvas Prints, Printing, Prints § 1 Comment

While you’ve always been able to purchase prints and canvas from our collection of fine art photos, we have now made it easier.  While you are browsing our photo galleries, if you see an image that would look fabulous on one of your walls, you can now click on the image and it will pop-up a purchase dialogue box.  You tell us the type of print you want (photo paper, canvas, fine art paper, standout, etc) and the size and we handle it from there.  All fine art prints are individually hand signed, numbered, and cataloged.  All fine art photos currently on the site are limited to 35 printings.  If you’ve been wanting one of our landscape, performance, or animal images, now is the time to get one before they are no longer available.  We will also be adding some additional fine art galleries (with some new fun photos).  Check the website over the next few weeks and see if there isn’t a new photo or two that you can’t live without. If there is a photo that you are interested in that is not a part of a gallery, drop us a line and we will be happy to help you out.

Also we are very excited for this weekend.  We have a number of sessions that we are really looking forward to.  We have an engagement session with a wonderful couple and we will also be helping the very talented Musicians of the Rothko Trio out with a photo session as well.  It’s shaping up to be great weekend.  Watch for the session previews over the course of next week.  And finally, since no blog post is complete without a photo, I give you Rain Drops.  Have a great weekend.

Boise… My Way.

§ February 13th, 2010 § Filed under Boise, Idaho § Tagged , , § 2 Comments

I woke up early this morning.  It was not a normal, lazy, Saturday.  I woke with intention before the sun.  It had rained last night  and I knew that there would be drama in the sky and the streets would look dark because they would still be wet.  These are a few photos from a new series I’ve started.  This is Boise, seen my way.  These are the places that people don’t take time to see when they are surrounded by them.

iPhone Photo Fun

I went out to dinner the other night and found this little gem in the back of the restaurant. I was immediately struck with how absolutely opposite the items in this photo were. This is a photo from the camera on my iPhone. Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.Juxtaposition, a photo by Johnny Harrell of Shoeless Johnny Photography in Boise, Idaho

Newly Remodeled Capital

With the construction just finished on the Idaho Capital building, I thought it would be a great time to get a few photos to document the beautifully remodeled building.

Here are a few shots of the rotunda. One I’m guessing you’ve seen a variation of the first, but the other should be relatively fresh. I hope you enjoy.

iPhone Photo Friday…

§ December 20th, 2009 § Filed under iPhone Photos § Tagged , § No Comments

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and week leading up to the holidays. Whether you celebrate Festivus, Christmas, Hanukkah, or Other, I hope you have a wonderful holiday. May it be a restful time of family and friends.

On a slightly different topic, I’ve been wondering, when iPhone (or “i+Mac” anything for that matter) comes at the beginning of a sentence, do you capitalize the “i?”

Hope your week is wonderful. Talk to you soon.

The holiday season is nice. It gives me time to “play” at photography. You know, experiment and do different things. I had a little fun today and thought I would share. Here are a few photos of some very hot things… The habaneros are as good as fire and well, the fire, is just like fire. These were fun images to create. I hope you enjoy them… Have a great weekend.
